Sorry for the inconvenience but we had some technical difficulties lately but I’m pleased to say we are back online! And just in time for another update!
We are still busy with making/gathering more Eco-Bricks so if you want to get involved just give us a shout. So here are our latest numbers:
We have once again received a whole box of EcoBricks, 17 to be exact. That, along with the other 4 EcoBricks that we have we can now add a total of 21 bricks to the tally. We are so fortunate that it keeps coming!
EcoBrick keeps coming Update 22/06/2021
You will also be glad to hear that we have consulted the architect and we started with the rough draft layout of the school. We paced out the wall and marked(or should I say re-marked the area where we are planning to build the EcoBrick arch.
Rough draft/preliminary plans
If you want to get involved just let us know via Facebook or visit our Challenge page here for more info.
Hi, just want to update everyone with regards to the Eco-Brick numbers. If you haven’t seen we are currently standing on 319. It’s been a rough time for all but I want to reassure everyone that we still need your bricks. We have not forgotten about you and we hope you haven’t forgotten about us. Even though the numbers are rising slowly, we don’t believe it is enough. So challenge your friends, company or even your siblings to see who can contribute more. If you are unsure how to make them here is our step-by-step guide.
I am very glad to announce that we have surpassed 300 Eco-bricks. We are currently on 305 bricks. We cannot have done it if it wasn’t for all our donors and supporters.

We are so glad to update our counters on the Challenge page with 8 more filled bottles, so now there are 127 bottles in total with the public counter almost reaching our own amount of EcoBricks made.
Remember you can always join us, by stopping at MobiVet Animal Hospital and picking up some empty 2litre bottles to fill up. Swing by our Challenge page to see how to make your very own EcoBricks. If you would like to donate your hard work, you can also drop them off at MobiVet (486 Cliff Ave. Waterkloof Ridge, 0181). We are so glad, so many people have joined us in this project.
We are pleased to be able to update our counters, we have increased our total number of EcoBricks created to 119. With the 12 bottles created from MobiVet waste and 2 made from personal waste. For those who don’t know what efforts go into making these EcoBricks we both envy and pity you. Envy for the tight muscles that aren’t restricting the movements of your arms and hands and pity since you don’t see the change you are making in the world. I am not talking about ‘ending world hunger’ or ‘creating world peace’, just the small change in and around the house. The knowledge that your unrecyclable waste in not ending up in rivers or the final destination the ocean.
More EcoBricks can help to lower the amount of unrecycled waste that ends up on places where these waste should never be, these include local landfills and of course the ocean.
8/11/2020 update
I know that it might not be possible for all to help or be part of the change, but for those who are we are thankful and for those who cannot, we thank for taking the time to share the challenge or just even an update like this. We are grateful for everybody involved and for those who would like to get involved, make sure to swing by our Facebook page, the Challenge page or just hang around our post page right here on the online home of MBP.
More EcoBricks are always welcomed. MobiVet Animal Hospital, situated in Waterkloof Ridge, has empty 2litre bottles if you need any and they also agreed to be a delivery point if you have any filled bottles that you want to donate.
We are pleased to inform all our followers that Elarduspark Animal Clinic has also agreed to help us with the making of the EcoBricks. We are so happy that more people and especially clinics/hospitals are contributing to lower the unrecyclable waste footprint.
Elarduspark Animal Clinic Team
We hope that they, too, continue to challenge other clinics/hospitals, to see who can contribute the most.
P.S. – Check out the counters on the Challenge page to keep up with the latest numbers.
